Paloma Del Junco (Peru)

Paloma graduated from university as a tour guide in 2002 and joined Peregrine in 2004. Since then, she has travelled the length and breadth of her native Peru. Her easy-going, caring manner and her desire to show others her country make her perfectly suited for this important job.

Qualifications:
Paloma is a university graduate.

Achievements:
She recently won Peregrine's coveted tour Leader of the Year award - a terrific achievement that highlights her commitment to her work with peregrine. Paloma consistently receives the highest praise and she has made many lasting friendships with people from all around the world.

Thomas Hecke (Brazil)

Thomas has been working as a tour leader since 1988 throughout all South America and is specialising in Ecotourism. He has special interests in speleology, environmental education, history of South America, trekking and overland trips. He is working for Peregrine since 2002. He likes tour leading because involves contact with different people and cultures and also gives him the chance of showing his beautiful country to people from overseas.

Qualifications:
He’s a geographer and speaks 5 languages (Portuguese, English, Spanish, German and Dutch).

Achievements:
He also works as a consultant for ecotourism and has been developing projects involving touristic visitation at Xingu Native Reserve (Brazil - Mato Grosso).

Paola Ramos (Peru)

Paola began working with Peregrine as a professional tour leader at the end of 2001 and recently won our coveted Tour Leader of the Year award. She has travelled widely in Peru and northern Chile and is passionate about her country. After four years of leading, Paola remains committed to her groups and still derives enormous pleasure at helping Peregrine travellers appreciate the stunning physical beauty and colourful culture of her native Peru.

Qualifications:
Apart from her native Spanish, she also speaks English and Italian.

Achievements:
Paola won our 2005 Tour Leader of the Year award. This terrific achievement highlights her commitment to her work with Peregrine and most importantly to her groups.
