Bart Johnson (Australia)

Bart Johnson lives in Cooktown and leads our tours in Cape York Peninsula. Having been a guide for a number of years, he knows the region like the back of his hand. You will meet Bart on our 12-day Cape York - Top of Australia adventure.

Qualifications:
He is a World Heritage tour operator and a qualified zookeeper.

Achievements:
Bart is an accredited member of Savannah Guides, a network of Professional guides with a collective in-depth knowledge of the natural and cultural assets of the tropical savannahs of northern Australia.

John Dewar (Australia)

John was born in Katherine and grew up at Eva Valley cattle station (now Manyallaluk). Over the years he has worked on numerous cattle stations as a stockman, often in his father’s ‘country’ in Arnhem Land and around Oenpelli. You will meet John in Manyallaluk if you join our seven-day The Dreaming Place Trek.

Achievements:
As well as being an excellent guide, John is a prolific artist and spends much of his time, when not guiding, working on making didgeridoos and painting canvasses – both for the Manyallaluk Art Centre and Mimi Arts in Katherine.
