Testimonials

Preshil

Cambodia is a beautiful and amazing country. It has an enormous amount to offer, especially to 9 year ten and eleven students and three teachers from Preshil, The Margaret Lyttle Memorial School in Kew, Melbourne. Cambodia gave our group incredible learning opportunities through hands on work that went from picking up rubbish with monks at a Pagoda, visiting the killing fields, talking with university students and building a house for a rural Cambodian family. It is one thing to study and read about the history of a country but to actually experience the Cambodian culture brings our history lessons to life! Local experience and knowledge brought to us by our amazing local guide P.K. gave Preshil students the opportunity to experience understand and appreciate the shocking history and the gorgeous country and culture of Cambodia. Our trip was an incredible learning experience.

This is the first time I have organised an overseas tour with school students. I used Gecko's Treasures of the Nile Tour as the basis of the itinerary I drew up, as it is a delightful combination of sights, fun and culture. Everyone in Australia and Egypt was extremely helpful when it came to organising and costing the new itinerary. This continued in Egypt too. Firstly, many many thanks to you and the very helpful and professional staff at Geckos/Peregrine in Melbourne who were able to deal with the needs and complexities of a group largely travelling together and yet a few having quite specific travel needs. You made it all seem very smooth and safe and kept me informed all the time. You had many good suggestions to help us as well.

The students and parents have returned full of praise for your organisation at all levels as well as feeling they have had an experience of a lifetime. They felt safe and cared-for at all times, but also allowed to really experience something important and special

"Just wanted to send a quick thank you for a fantastic trip. This was the first overseas trip for our school and the first time we used Peregrine. I must say that our every need was catered for with a driver and guide who were flexible and friendly. The variety of experiences was mind boggling. Our trip to the Mekong with the entertainment and the lovely guide was a highlight. Thank you Peregrine for a wonderful experience! Once we show the slides from the excursion, I am certain that we will fill the next trip without trouble. You may use my name for recommendations to other schools. I know that schools like to speak with teachers who have used a company and I can only speak highly of your professionalism. THANK YOU."

"What made our trip so special was the cultural experiences that David had gone to the trouble of including. The presence of the Buna Boys and their singing was an absolute vital ingredient and if we are going to do this again next year I would insist that the Buna Boys are utilised again as their singing was amazing. Full credit to David and Gerry, Martin & Kingsford for a thoroughly enjoyable and amazing tour, are that we will never forget. The efficiency of the Melbourne office staff was also greatly appreciated, Kellie, Jacqui & Chloe we all fantastic and no questions were ignored."

"The trip to Nepal was a very good experience. It showed me how people in their cultures live and how it is different to how we live in Australia. I also had the chance to experience things that I would not be able to experience in Australia like the elephant safari. I really enjoyed the tripand it was a great opportunity. I think that if a similar trip were to take place I would probably go. I think if it were possible I would stay for a day or two in Thailand so that we can see more of it."
